Girl with a Curl

A public service announcement about how women have been historically educated to disregard and internalise their anger, conveniently maintaining the patriarchy and ensuring that violence remains on the side of the oppressor.

A darkly comical potrayal of what happens when women truly own their rage, expressed through Chinese pole, Dance and Physical Theatre.

Full-length theatre / site-specific immersive show

in development - open to co-productions and residencies.

The ambition for These Things Aren’t Mine is to explore the impacts that abuse in childhood elite training environments can have on adult life; the invasions of physical and emotional space, imbalances of power that ripple through day to day life in both personal and professional environments, where victims often feel powerless to tell their stories and with little support available if they do.

Presented through abstract, poetic imagery, the film explores the day to day effects of living with trauma; to give voice, physicality and visibility to these experiences, and the process of how healing begins.

A somber and mesmerising show that takes you on a journey of struggle and failure, whilst laughing in the face of it.

It is about the challenge of regaining hope when there doesn’t appear to be any.

Expressed through Contemporary Dance, Acrobatics, Chinese pole and Physical Theatre.

Commissioned by Glastonbury Festival and Bristol Circus City

Transicions is a journey of unexpected encounters, with everyone playing a part in each other’s stories - intentionally or not. A high energy and darkly comic performance with each character attempting to steal the spotlight, and grappling for moments of connection. - a hot mess of personalities emerge, stumbling across each other, and finding reasons to be together.

Transicions is Project Discord’s debut show, combining 8 circus disciplines, dance, and physical theatre. With direction from Eleonora Gronchi, expect bold images, spectacular technique, outright extravagance and well-timed subtleties that say it all, culminating in a show that is both chaotic and harmonious at the same time.
